Group Services Inc. is able to provide an unforgettable environment of fun and excitement in paradise, while hosting your Beach Olympics activity. We have nineteen different types of fun, sporting events to choose from.

The Beach Olympics package is composed of five sporting events of your choice. The time period of the activity will be approximately two and a half to three hours, depending on the amount of participants.

Tug or War

This is a single elimination event. The number of participants determines the team size. For safety purposes, fifteen seconds pull. The first team to successfully pull the bandanna placed in the center of the rope, to their side of the pit after fifteen seconds wins the event.

Loco Coconut Relay

This event begins with the first player on each team sitting on a chair with a coconut. At the sound of the whistle he or she must run towards a hula hoop where the coconut will be placed. Then he or she must continue to run towards a baseball bat, lifting the bat and placing one end on the ground and the other on their forehead. The players must then spin around in circles five times then drop the bat and run back to pick up the coconut at the hula hoop and run back to the starting line where the team matesitting on the chair waits for the coconut in order to continue the relay. The team to complete the relay in the fastest time wins.

Catch the Wave

This event starts with all of the team members lined up behind a bucket. The first two members begin the event as they both go running to the shore, where one person sits on a chair holding a beer can on his or her head, while the other person continues to run to the ocean, with a pan to fill it with water and then pour it in the can. Participants can only go to the ocean and fill the pan once. After emptying the water in the can, both participants run back to the starting line and empty the water into the bucket. The next two participants go running to the ocean and continue the relay. The team with the most water in a two-minute period, wins.

Kayak Relay

This event begins at the shore where the participating team members lined up. The first team member of each team kayaks into the ocean circling around the first flag back to the shore where the second team members awaits to continue the relay. The team to complete the relay in the fastest time wins.

Beach Volleyball

In this event each team must have eight players, six on the court and two rotating in from the corners. The game is played up to eight points at rally points or depending on the time schedule. Each team must hit the ball no more than three times in order to pass the ball to the other side of the net. The same player can only hit the ball twice if the ball hits the net. The line is part of the court. The serve must be done from behind the line. Holding or contact with the net will be called by the official.

Target Soccer

In this event all team members lineup in a single file and all teams are side by side. The first players must kick a soccer ball once in the net. Then the next player on the line continues the process until all the players have the opportunity to kick the ball into the net once. The team with the most kicks in the net, wins the event.

Balloon Toss

In this event teams divide themselves in half, one half lines up behind the other with one arm distance between them and the other half lines up in front in the same manner. All the teams must be lined up the same way. The first two members on the line toss the water balloon to one another. If they are successful, the one member to catch the balloon passes the balloon back to the team member behind them in order to continue the event until the balloon explodes. The team to remain with a water balloon wins the event.

Inner Tube Relay

This event begins at the shore where participating team members lineup in a single file line. The first team member on each team will sit on their assigned inner tube and start paddling using their hands and feet. They must paddle around a human buoy and back to shore. The next team member will continue the relay until all team members complete the relay. The team to finish in the fastest time wins the event.

Wet T-shirts Relay

In this event, all participants line up in the ocean. The first person is wearing the T-shirt, at the sound of the whistle he must dive into the water to get completely wet, then the T-shirt must be taken off by the first person and passed down to the next participant in line who will do the same thing. The T-shirt must reach the last person in line. The team to finish in the fastest time wins the event.

Team Limbo Contest

This event, allows all team members to participate. The object is to pass under the limbo stick at it lowest position as the music plays. The team member to pass under the limbo stick at its lowest position wins for the team.

Loop the Hoop

In this event all team members line up to form a human chain. The first team member in line must pass a hula-hoop to the last member without breakage of the human chain. The team to complete this task in the fastest time wins the event.

Tropical Relay Race

This event requires running for a few team members. At least four team participants are needed. The first member takes off running with a bandana in hand and hands it over to the next member waiting at a designated area. The second and third members continue the relay until the fourth member races across the finish line with the bandana in hand. The team to finish the relay in the fastest time wins the event. (Each team member will not run more than fifty meters.)

Beach Ball Relay

For this event we use a large beach ball, about thirty-six inches in diameter. The object of this event is that one member of each team picks up the ball without use of their hands and then take it to the other end of the court, where the next team member waits to continue the relay. The first team to complete the relay, wins the game.

Sand Sculpting

In this event all teams are given the same amount of equipment in order to build a sand sculpture. All team members are allowed to participate. The team that builds an impressive and artistic sculpture within the specified amount of time, wins the game.

Coconut Toss

This event allows all team members to participate. Each team member will have the opportunity to toss a coconut inside a hula-hoop once. After all of the team members have tossed their coconuts, the amount of correct toss will be added by the officials. The team with the most tosses inside the hula-hoops wins the game.

Target Football

This event requires all team members to line up and throw a football through a hula-hoop once. After all participants have thrown the football, the officials will add the amount of correct throws. The team with the most correct throws wins.

Beer Relay

This event requires five team members to participate. The first member in line has to run around three cones, walk through a hula-hoop, and go back around the same cones without spilling the glass of beer in one hand. Upon returning to the starting line, the first member must drink the beer as fast as he or she can. Then the next participant continues the relay. The team to finish in the fastest time wins the game.

Egg Toss

In this event teams divide themselves in half and stand in front of each other about six feet apart. The first competitor will throw an egg to the team mate in front of them, if they are successful in catching the egg without breaking it, then each member moves one feet backwards and throws again.

Flour Fun

In this event three or more participants of each team are lined up seated on the shore with a big box full of flour in front and a same size empty box at the end of the line. The team that passes the flour from one box to the other first, using plastic buckets over the head wins the game. (Every participant must first get wet in the ocean).

Most of the events have a surprise element that makes them funnier and more interesting. You will be informed about the surprises at the beginning of each event.
