Transfers To/From El Conquistador Resort & Country Club

A smooth arrival and departure process is a key element to the success of any program. To ensure this success, we moved our operations office inside the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport. This physical presence at the airport gives GSI the ability and flexibility to respond to your group's needs and last minute request with the utmost expediency and efficiency.

For this particular transfer service we utilize El Conquistador buses and Mini Coaches for the actual transfer to and from the airport and the property. There is one simple and very good reason for this, "the system and the entire process works". Combine this with the services and enhancements GSI provides, in addition to the actual transfer process, and you have a comprehensive service providing all the ingredients necessary to ensure proper levels of service to our clients.

The El Conquistador has a fleet of very modern attractive high quality busses and mini coaches equipped with VCR and TV monitors for playing destination videos en route, complimentary beverage station and in various larger units restroom facilities. The El Conquistador also has a basic meet and greet service in place set up primarily for the individual traveler where the guest would identify themselves to the El Conquistador staff member, they would then be welcomed, told which belt their luggage was coming on and told where to locate the shuttle to the property. Although this is adequate service for the individual, we feel that certain enhancements are necessary to give proper levels of service that the incentive and group markets are accustomed to and looking for. This is where GSI comes in. With our enhanced arrival and departure service, on the front end and back end of El Conquistador's tried and tested transfer and pre-check in process we afford the guest and you, the client, an efficient professional service that delivers.

Here's how it works. We begin with the preplanning stage after we receive your manifest, where we coordinate with the Porter Cooperative to advise them as to the logistics of the arrival pattern so, they can staff accordingly. At the same time we assign one of our airport supervisors to handle your program. In essence he/she owns the program from pre arrivals to late departure. The assigned supervisor in turn will select the team of GSI staff which will be dedicated to your program on arrival and departure days. Upon arrival day we will begin to meet and greet your guests in the baggage claim areas of the respective terminals with tasteful computer generated signage. All our staff members are attentive, bilingual and uniformed.

After we welcome the guest to Puerto Rico we will escort them to the belt where their luggage will be retrieved. Once the guest has all of his or her luggage, our staff located at each of the luggage belts will pull the airline baggage tags and match them with the guest's claim tags. At this point we will procure our porters and escort the guest out to the awaiting busses. All porter tips are handled by GSI.

At curbside next to the El Conquistador buses, the guest's luggage will be tagged with hotel luggage claim tickets before they are placed in the vehicle's luggage bays. The guests and their luggage travel together on the same transfer.

Once the guest has checked in their luggage and received their luggage claim tags, they will proceed to board the bus where we record each guest on the trip sheet for that particular unit. After the vehicle departs we either fax or call in the names of the guests traveling on each vehicle to the property. We utilize this transfer time to the property by preparing the guest's key packets, in essence pre-registering them so they do not have to wait in line at the check in counter once they arrive at the property.

Upon arrival the guest would be directed to the group's hospitality desk area to pick up their prepared key packets, register, confirm activities, etc.

While the guests are engaged in this process, we are busy unloading and grouping their baggage by name so that when the guest returns, the bellmen are ready and waiting to take our guests and luggage directly to their room.
